Team BUFF® Prepares for the Golden Gate Relay

BUFF® Staff / 4-28-2016

Team BUFF® is running the Golden Gate Relay (GGR) this weekend, April 30th through May 1st and we are FIT to RUN!
The GGR is a beautiful and scenic 196 mile run from Calistoga in the Napa Valley wine country to Silicon Valley in Santa Cruz, CA. The relay helps bring awareness for organ donation through the non-profit organization, Organs 'R' Us. Team BUFF® has 11 runners this year. Each time we transfer the baton from one runner to another, it represents the transfer of an organ from donor to recipient. We'll run through the night and take much needed rest breaks in our team van. It's good thing we're running with BUFF® products featuring Polygiene® odor control...
Over at Buff, Inc. offices in sunny Sonoma County, we have been training for this relay since January. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday we lace up for a lunchtime 3-4 mile run around vineyards, lakes and sometimes charging geese! After commiting to a training routine we highly recommend a 20-40 minute jog during your lunchbreak if your schedule allows. Throw a Half BUFF® over your head to keep your hair in place for those afternoon meetings.
Today was the last training run before the big day and it is a little bittersweet. Our runs have been an inter-departmental unifier, creating new friendships and comradery. We may just start training for next years race right after this. We'll keep you updated with running tips if we do.

Follow our adventure this weekend and all our adventures on Facebook and Instagram. We will be posting photos and videos of Team BUFF® as they run 196 miles from Calistoga to Santa Cruz. The weather looks perfect so if you're near the race route come join us and cheer the other runners on.
