Bib Rave Pros Review the UV Half BUFF®
BUFF® Staff / 8-25-2015
We've been having some fun getting feedback from the Bib Rave Pros, who've been out this summer testing the UV Half Buff®, and the reviews are in! Here's what they had to say...
Sweet Blonde’s Life
The Half Buff is not only functional, it’s also a fun and fashionable accessory that makes your workout that much more fun and exciting. Without the buff I would’ve been stuck rubbing sweat out of my eyes for the last mile or so, and who
The Little Things
Without the buff I would’ve been stuck rubbing sweat out of my eyes for the last mile or so, and who wants that on a run?
I'm happy to say that not only did my UV Half BUFF® stay put, it kept the sweat out of my eyes, too. I even took it off, rinsed it off with cold water and put it back on with no problem. It didn't slide down or even get droopy.

I don't know why I wasn't aware of what a buff was before this but it is my new favorite go-to while hiking, running, racing or just hanging out..

Given my sweatiness, I'm always in need of sweat absorbing products - and the UV Half Buff fits the bill entirely. What I loved about testing this product is discovering all the awesome ways to wear the UV Half Buff - especially as the headband.
Confessions of an Amateur Athlete
I love dipping my Buff in cold water and wearing it around my neck when I'm headed out for a run in the desert's triple digit heat. I've also wrapped up some ice cubes in it before. Having that cool water drip down my neck helps keep me cool longer, and it dries super fast.
Another Half Please
I started dipping the buff in the cold water and looping it around my neck. Sweet relief, it felt oh so good. Better than a cold Dr. Pepper. For the final wear for the Buff I had to fix my crazy hair, and needed the hair out of my face for when I had to chow down on some tacos!
I have been wearing my Buff trail running for hours, biking, hiking, mowing the lawn and even yoga. I love it! This weekend I packed it in my pocket for an all day run/hike, its so light and soft I could use it when the sun came out and added ice, to keep my head and neck cool.
Adventures By Katie
My Half Buff was a life-saver during my 10-mile race. My elastic broke, and there was NO WAY I was going to be able to continue running with my hair flopping all over on my neck because it was so hot. Luckily, the Half Buff saved the day and kept my hair up and annoyance-free for the rest of my run.
I'm one who doesn't like a lot of crap on me when I run. My Half Buff does wonders.
With other smaller headbands I'm usually wearing anywhere from 6-10 bobby pins to keep my hair in order. I have very thick curly hair and the Buff stayed put on my head and kept my hair in order.
The Buff helps keep short hair under control, it's easy to wipe sweat and push back on your head, and I needed to wear it lower on my forehead to prevent most sweat from getting into my eyes.
The UV Half Buff is just enough material to soak up sweat but light enough to still wear as a headband even on hot days! Plus it provides UV protection!
I'm in love with the Half Buff. I've shunned all of my other headbands since I've gotten it, and I want it in every color. They're quite affordable, and they're incredibly comfortable and practical.
Since cutting my hair I haven't been able to find headwear that I like & that doesn't look silly. I really liked running with this half buff. Kept my ears warm, the sweat out of my eyes and stayed in place perfectly.
Live, Run, Grow
I was able to comfortably wear the Buff and it quickly became one of my favorite additions on hot humid runs to keep the sweat out of my eyes or to throw on after a run to control the post-run "crazy hair"!
See Jess Run
I've worn mine on many many runs now and it has never slipped once. And even though the rest of me is soaked through with sweat, I don't have any running down my face. Can I get an amen?
AZ Sun Goddess
I chose to wear it as more of a headband, and it did a great job keeping the sweat out of my eyes. It is very soft, and it didn't slip at all during the hour long run.
I thought for sure I wouldn't like wearing it on my head as much as some of my running hats because I figured sweat would be dripping down in my eyes within 2 seconds. I was pleasantly surprised that actually it did a great job at keeping the sweat out of my eyes.
The Caffeinated Runner
I've worn mine on run/walks with my dog, during BodyFlow classes, and when I'm lifting in BodyPump. During these activities, there was not one drop of sweat dripping into my eyes and it stayed perfectly in place on my head.

I live an active life and I need something that can work with my lifestyle. I hate needing different products for different activities. Buff is a one stop shop!
Run. Geek. Run (Disney)
The primary way I wore it was around my head, in a sort of hairband style, since that was the way I found I liked most. This way had several benefits: it kept the sweat off my entire face, it protected my forehead and portion of my head from the sun, all while still letting the heat off my head.
Zombie Running Princess
It fits my head beautifully. I love wearing it not only when I am out running but it is perfect for when I am out and about doing chores.
Train With Bain
Primarily I used it as a hat-liner and head-band, sweeping all of my hair off of my neck and face, and once covering my ears (which I'd forgot to put sunscreen on). I also tried it out as a wristband for sweat-blotting. Not only did the Buff absorb sweat and quickly get it off of me, it also air-dried fairly quickly.
