Here's what I love about the Full Buff: It keeps you cool…it provides sun protection…it’s lightweight.

’ll be using the full BUFF quite a bit through the winter! I imagine that the buff will be fantastic to pull over my nose and mouth while running, since it’s thin enough to let air through, but will block out the biting cold! I absolutely love my Half and Full Buffs, and they have become a regular part of my active lifestyle. Plus they add a little extra fun to my workout outfits.

Running For The Average Joe

Overall this is a great product. Not only for running, but for any outdoor activity really. Especially for someone like me with no natural protection on the top of my head (i.e. hair). A week before one of my long runs I had gotten some pretty bad sunburn on the top of my head. I knew I would be out on my long run for a few hours and needed the protection from the sun. Luckily this product provides 95% ultraviolet protection (see below) and my sunburn was not impacted at all!

The BUFF doesn’t tend to stink even after long runs when it has gotten good and soaked from sweat yet at the same time, when worn on cooler and/or windier days, I can pull it over my ears and know that they will stay warm.

The way I most often wear mine is as a headband. I don’t know what it is about the Buff material, but it NEVER slips, and doesn’t squeeze my head like so many other headbands. Sometimes I take the time to nicely fold the Buff up, but other times I’ll just scrunch it. Both methods are equally effective, and equally attractive.

The Buff worked great. It’s a very versatile produce with many uses. It kept a fantastic amount of sweat off my face without making my head too hot. It was great at wicking the sweat away. The UV protection is also perfect for a redhead like me, great for my head and my neck. I feel I’ll really get a lot of use out of it in the coming cooler days. The UV Buff gives you more Buff for you, and more Buff for your run!

Train With Bain

One thing I like about the full-sized Buff, it’s more versatile than the Half Buff. Since you have more fabric to work with you, can do things like make it into a hat, which is my favorite way to wear it…I wish I had brought my full-sized Buff with me when I ran the Mile in the Sand. I could have pulled it up over my mouth and nose to keep the sand out! I’m also looking forward to wearing the bigger UV Buff around my neck during sunny winter runs. (Did you know you can get a sunburn in the winter? Have you seen the “ski goggle tan-beards”?)

The Caffeinated Runner

I’ve been wearing it when I walk/run with Arthur in the evening and I like that I can be seen! I have a feeling I’m going to be using this A LOT for cold-weather running.

I used the full buff in the same manner as the half, as a headband and sweat grabber. It functioned well for both tasks. I preferred the full buff for wiping sweat because there was more surface area and it didn’t get saturated quickly. I worked well as headband and was very stylish.

I do look forward to wearing this in the winter months. In the midwest, it gets cold, snowy, icy and windy. The Buff will be perfect for covering all parts of my skin. Nothing worse than the gap between your hat and turtle neck on your neck, just enough exposed skin to get a chill. The buff covers it without problem.

Buff is honestly my new favourite brand! I have been looking for excuses to wear it on runs even when I don’t really need it (i.e. a cap would do). I’ve even taken to bringing along two – one for during the race, and one for after!

All in all, I have to highly recommend a Buff. I couldn’t be happier to now be a “Buff Household”.

I did not realize until after I took my jacket off that my Buff was still on! Which means it is very lightweight and is perfect for cooler runs that I might to want to wear long sleeves, but need a little something extra.

I can tell you that it’s fun to wear around the house while I clean to keep my hair out of getting into the toilet or other gross things. It’s also helpful for this asthmatic girl to use when dusting so that all of the dog hair doesn’t go into my nostrils. I’m SUPER excited to test it out once winter arrives. {we’ll update her review here when she does!}

I dipped my UV Full Buff into some icy, cold water and wore it around my neck. The material absorbed the liquid but stayed cool and lightweight. It didn’t bother me a bit as I ran and I think it helped me not overheat that day.

Obviously that was my most favorite way to wear the full Buff on my runs. 😀 I found that running I liked to use it more to wipe sweat off than I did around my head.

I love it as a head band. It is a great size, stays put and is so perfect for keeping the gallons of sweat that come off me out of my face when I run.

It does a great job of absorbing sweat and keeping it out of your face. I also clued in during the last BibChat with Buff that you can put them in the fridge for a little bit before you wear them. Let me just tell you that the experience is nearly magical! Keeping your head cool for a while can make a huge difference in the overall enjoyablility of your run for sure!

I know I will be thanking my lucky stars for the full buff come winter time. Not so much as a headband or sweat wiper but as a buff over my face.

I had been wearing my Squamish50 Buff on my wrist so I took it off, looped it around my upper arm where the chaffing was, twisted it and tucked it under itself so it would stay. Sweet, sweet relief! When BodyGlide didn’t cut it and moleskin wouldn’t stick to my sweaty skin, I used this technique on thigh chaffing during my first ultra marathon, the Squamish50!

The UV Full Buff rocked the warm weather, but I am super pumped to try it as the colder mornings start to arrive. I love having the option to cover my neck and ears, and to adjust as needed along the way.

Runs And Places

Anytime I test a product like this, I like to make sure that I really test it thoroughly. So I wore my UV Buff while I did an 11 mile run along the Chicago Lakefront during the middle of a day when the temperature was 94 degrees with about 80% humidity. And ya know what? It held up great. My Buff still got wet from my head being sweaty but it also dried really quickly (definitely a lot faster than a baseball cap would have). And even though I had a layer of fabric on my head, I still felt cooler than I would have if I wasn’t wearing it. And after I finished my run and my Buff dried out, it didn’t smell like sweaty running gear. My dog Lucy also approves of my UV Buff

The Sunny Side

On another sweaty run, I decided to use it as a wristband to wipe my forehead. Success! It stayed put with just tucking it in. It washes very well and came out just as soft as when it came out of the package.
