Teva Winter Games

2012 marks the first winter edition of the Teva Mountain Games, which have long been a beloved summer staple in Vail, Colorado. As an inaugural sponsor of the Winter Games, Buff, Inc., outfits attendees and athletes with custom Buff® apparel. It helps keep them warm, protected and comfortable during mixed climbing, mountain cyclocross, big air biking, telemark skiing, snowshoe racing, and other ultimate vertical challenges.

Kim Havell

Whether she’s climbing in Tibet or ski mountaineering in Alaska, international adventurer Kim Havell brings along her Buff® headgear. This multi-sport enthusiast appears regularly on Outside Magazine TV, and she shares stories from her travels with Powder magazine and other journals. Jordan Romero

On May 22, 2010, then 13-year-old Jordan Romero became the youngest person ever to summit Everest. For Jordan it was just one more step towards his dream of being the youngest person to climb the “Seven Summits,” the highest point on each continent. When he’s not climbing, Jordan tours the country with the B.I.G. (Butt In Gear) tour, encouraging other young people to get active and healthy. Wherever he goes, Jordan can rarely be seen without his Custom Buff®, an accessory he’s taken to the highest altitudes in the world.

Rebecca Rusch

One of the most winning endurance athletes in the world, Rebecca Rusch is the current World Champion for Master’s XC mountain biking, the 2011 National XC single-speed champion, and a three-time winner of the Leadville Trail 100. An advocate for women’s sports, “Reba,” as she is affectionately known, also runs cycling camps, encouraging young girls to become lifelong athletes. Her race schedule takes her all around the globe, from temperate to bone-chilling climates, making Buff® headgear a critical accessory. The Fowl Life

Hosted by celebrated hunting personality Chad Belding, The Fowl Life airs on The Sportsman Channel and WILD TV Hunting & Fishing Network. Each episode offers heart-pounding action, as Belding, Team Maniac members, and other friends chase waterfowl and predators in areas all over North America. In addition, they offer in-depth instruction for both beginner and advanced sportsmen. The Fowl Life brings you great puddle duck, diver duck, goose, and predator action, and Buff® headgear goes along for the adventure.

COSMIC (Colorado Ski Mountaineering Cup)

The Colorado Ski Mountaineering Cup, better known as COSMIC, encompasses 10 races through some of North America’s most challenging ascents and descents. In 2012, the COSMIC Crested Butte event will serve as the International Ski Mountaineering Federation (ISMF) Continental Championships, drawing the top backcountry skiers from throughout the Americas. Skimo racers have long appreciated the versatility of Buff® headgear, and Buff, Inc., is proud to sponsor this series with a custom Buff®.

West Coast Session

Every spring, West Coast Session brings together the best young freestyle skiers, along with outstanding photographers and videographers for four days of fun on the slopes of Mount Hood. Having achieved cult status among freeskiers, the event attracts some of the biggest names in the sport—and many of them bring along their Buff® headgear. Buff®is thrilled to be part of the party, sponsoring another year of amazing tricks and fabulous footage.

Keely’s Ski Camp for Girls

Founded in 2011 by former U.S. Ski team and World Cup athlete Keely Kelleher, Keely’s Ski Camp for Girls offers a unique opportunity for young women to ski with and be coached by the best female role models in the sport of skiing. The camp coaches include an all-female staff of Olympic, U.S. Ski Team, NCAA, and big mountain champions. With help from Buff, Inc., they’re conquering the mountain one girl at a time.
