Buff® On Location
Here are a few of the events the Buff, Inc. team will be attending this season. If you're in the area, stop by and say hello!
Levi Leipheimer’s King Ridge GranFondo, Santa Rosa, CA - October 3, 2015
Bassmaster Classic Expo, Birmingham, AL - February 21-23, 2014
Below are a few of the athletes currently wearing our gear and some TV shows on which Buff® headwear is featured.
Sweetwater combines ultra-high level production with youthful enthusiasm to bring a fresh, new type of tv program to Bass Fishing. Two-time Junior Bassmaster World Champion, Joey Nania and Collegiate Bass Champion, Miles Burghoff share knowledge and experience with one another as they prepare for tournaments or just fish for fun.
Buff® ambassador Ott DeFoe was named Rookie of the Year for the 2011 Bassmaster Elite Series and later won the Bassmaster Toyota Tundra All-Star event. He’ll be relying on the Glacier Blue Buff® Sport Series Water Gloves to help him haul in the big fish.
A recent collegiate player turned pro, Brandon Card won the 2012 Bassmaster Rookie of the Year Award. We’re excited to see what this up and coming angler will accomplish while representing the Buff® brand.
Despite being born with a partial right arm, no left arm and no legs, Clay began fishing at age five and began competing in tournaments as a teenager. Today, he’s a motivational speaker, coach and Bassmaster Open Series fisherman.
| Phil Casabon
Phil Casabon was lucky enough to spend his childhood living next to a ski resort and was already braving the slopes at the age of two. At just 6 years old, he joined his hometown’s professional ski team, which he left at 11 to try his luck at freeskiing. He won himself a top-10 position in the most important freeskiing championships of 2010 and 2011 (X-Games, Euro X-Games and War of Rails).
Keri Herman caught the skiing bug later in life. A former competitive ice hockey player she hit her first rail at the ripe age of 21. Since her debut in 2010 this Minnesota native has racked up four silver medals at the Winter X Games. In 2011, her impressive season included silver medals at the two biggest events in freeskiing: Winter X and Winter X Europe.
| McRae Williams
McRae Williams is a 23-year-old up-and-coming professional competitive freeskier out of Park City, Utah. Williams recently qualified for his first ever X Games in Tignes, and swept the Ski Slopestyle final for gold. Look for Williams to compete in the Slopestyle Competition at Dew Tour 2013 in Breckenridge CO.
Rebecca Rusch hosts the seven-stop Gold Rusch Tour which aims to help women cyclists of all abilities take their riding to the next level. “Reba” and other female pros will be on hand to offer tips, show off new gear, and hand out custom UV Half Buff® headwear designed especially for the event. One of the most winning endurance athletes in the world, Rebecca Rusch is the current World Champion for Master’s XC mountain biking, the 2011 National XC single-speed champion, and a four-time winner of the Leadville Trail 100.
| Anton Krupicka
Among the best ultra-runners in the world, Anton, or “Tony” as his friends call him, has won the Leadville 100 twice, the Miwok 100K, the Estes Park Marathon, and countless other races. Buff® worked with the runner to develop the Anton Krupicka Collection, inspired by the Flatiron mountains of Boulder, Colorado, where he trains hard every day. Anton is a fierce ambassador for Buff® products and has sported them during virtually every win in his career.
| Joe Grant
A top American trail and ultra-trail runner, Joe has racked up an impressive series of wins, including the 2014 White Mountains event and the 2011 Golden Gate Dirty Thirty. He specializes in races 50K to 100 miles long. Joe often races with teammate and friend Anton Krupicka.
